Our Wedding

Desirae and Jack met in college at Chico State, where late nights, big friend groups, and a lot of fun laid the foundation for something more lasting. After graduation, Jack made the move to Los Angeles to join Desirae, and they’ve built their life there ever since. From trips through Europe and weekends in Miami to music festivals and concerts, they’ve always bonded over shared experiences and a love of live music. These days, their life in LA is filled with beach days, annual Dodgers games, lifelong friendships, playing vinyls, and an active, sun-soaked routine they’ve grown to love. In May 2027, they’re excited to celebrate the next chapter surrounded by the people who have been part of it all.

Wedding VIPs

Semi-formal attire. Our wedding colors are inspired by Palm Springs sunsets and citrus tones, think pink, red, orange, yellow, and green. We’d love for guests to lean into the theme! The desert will be warm in May so suit jackets or slacks and a dress shirt without a jacket are welcome as well. Midi or floor-length dresses for the ladies. The reception will take place on decomposed granite, so block heels or flats are recommended.

Drift Palm Springs will be the heart of our wedding weekend and the location for all of our events. The hotel offers both suites and studios. Most suites include 2 or 4 bedrooms, full kitchens and living rooms, while studios are traditional hotel-style rooms. To stay at Drift, please book directly through the hotel’s website. Check-in is at 4:00 pm and check-out is at 11:00 am. We’ll also share alternative nearby accommodation options below.

Venue & Stay

We encourage guests to arrive as early as possible Saturday May 22nd, to enjoy the pool &amp; restaurant prior to room check-in at 4pm. If you’d like to make a weekend of it, you’re welcome to join us starting Friday evening. While we won’t be hosting any formal events that night, we encourage you to explore downtown Palm Springs, enjoy dinner, and settle into desert mode.

The ceremony will start at 4:00pm on Saturday, May 22nd on the Desert Lawn at the Drift.

The Ceremony

Cocktail hour, dinner, and reception will all be held on-site at The Drift from 5:00pm through midnight.

The Reception

Meet us poolside on Sunday at 11:00am (or whenever you rally!) for a laid-back day in the sun. We’ve rented cabanas so we can relax, sip, and unwind together. We’ll have some drinks provided, with additional food and beverages available for purchase. Come in your swimwear, stay as long as you’d like, and enjoy one more desert day with us.
